Homebuilders boost activity in September

Homebuilding activity inched higher in unincorporated Clark County in September, according to a report that tracks permits for single-family homes.
The county’s Department of Community Development issued 31 permits to build houses last month. It was a 29 percent increase over the 24 permits issued in the same month last year, but 41 percent lower than the 53-permit total in September 2009. The month’s housing permits were valued at $10.3 million, up from $8.5 million in the same month last year, the development department said.
