SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) — The Occupy Spokane Movement is running into some code violations.
KREM-TV of Spokane reports the movement has taken over a tiny downtown park for more than two weeks, and has been receiving so many donations of food that a kitchen has been set up.
But city officials say the kitchen needs to go because cooking on public property is prohibited without a special events permit. The city has given them until Saturday to move the kitchen or provide the necessary permits.
Meanwhile, Occupy Spokane plans a march through downtown on Friday afternoon.
