CHANDLER, Ariz. (AP) — Cruz Pedregon took the provisional top spot in Funny Car at the NHRA Arizona Nationals on Friday night.
Larry Dixon, Mike Edwards and Eddie Krawiec topped their divisions at Phoenix International Raceway, the fourth stop in the six-race Countdown to the Championship.
Pedregon drove his Toyota Camry to a 4.215-second pass at 296.37 mph in his final run. Points leader Matt Hagan was fifth and second-place driver Mike Neff was third.
Dixon led the Top Fuel field with a 3.919 at 303.84. Points leader Spencer Massey was 16th and second-placed Antron Brown fourth.
