POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. (AP) — Campbell scored 21 points in the first quarter in route to a 35-21 victory over Marist on Saturday.

Running back Jordan Cramer capped off Campbell’s first drive of the day with a 1-yard touchdown run then scored again 11 plays later from 4 yards out to give the Camels (3-3, 2-2 Pioneer Football League) an early 14-0 lead.

Marist (3-4, 2-2) attempted to fight back but Brandon Chandler’s 43-yard interception return for a touchdown put Campbell up 21-0 and put the game out of reach.

The Campbell rushing attack racked up 285 yards and three touchdowns. The Camels were led by Carl Smith, who finished with 107 yards on 29 carries. Braden Smith led the Camels through the air, completing 10-of-13 attempts for 83 yards and a touchdown.

Marist has lost seven straight home games dating back to last season.
