CONWAY, Ark. (AP) — Nathan Dick threw for 201 yards and two touchdowns as Central Arkansas held on for a 21-18 victory over McNeese State on Saturday.

The Bears (4-3, 3-1 Southland) scored all of their points in the first half. The first touchdown came when Dick connected with Dominque Croom on an 81-yard pass early in the first quarter. The second came later that quarter when he found Brett Soft for 25 yards.

The biggest play for Central Arkansas was early in the second quarter when linebacker Frank Newsome picked up a fumble and ran it 98 yards for the touchdown.

Javaris Murray ran for the Cowboys’ (3-3, 2-1) only first-half touchdown. They trailed 21-7 at halftime.

In the second half, the Cowboys’ Josh Lewis kicked a field goal and Cody Stroud threw a touchdown pass to DeVio Edmonson, with Andre Anderson running in for a two-point conversion. But it was not enough.
