Chavez, Shea score for FC Dallas

FRISCO, Texas (AP) -- Marvin Chavez and Brek Shea scored to help FC Dallas beat the Vancouver Whitecaps 2-0 on Saturday night in Major League Soccer.
Chavez opened the scoring in the 35th minute with his sixth goal of the season, and Shea added his 11th of the year in the 54th minute. Kevin Hartman had the shutout for Dallas.
Dallas improved to 15-11-7, and Vancouver dropped to 6-17-10.
