BOCA RATON, Fla. (AP) — Bobby Rainey rushed for 131 yards and two touchdowns Saturday and Western Kentucky played the role of spoiler by winning the first game in Florida Atlantic’s new on-campus stadium, 20-0.

The game drew a near-sellout crowd in the 30,000-seat, $70 million stadium, but the winless Owls’ offense gave fans little to cheer about. Florida Atlantic (0-6, 0-3 Sun Belt Conference) totaled only 121 yards and six first downs.

Rainey scored the first points in the stadium on a 4-yard run in the second quarter for Western Kentucky (2-4, 2-1). He added a 1-yard run following a blocked punt for the final touchdown.

Florida Atlantic sputtered with quarterback David Kooi making his first career start in place of an injured Graham Wilbert.
