PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — Tri-Met plans to increase security on MAX light rail trains after a stabbing early Sunday near the Rose Quarter in Portland.
The Oregonian reports (http://bit.ly/n33GeZ) it was the third such stabbing this year. Two men were stabbed within days of each other in March on a MAX train and a platform.
The 30-year-old man who was wounded Sunday told police he argued with the woman after she held the train door open, waiting for someone.
Police jailed the 22-year-old woman for assault.
