TAMPA, Fla. (AP) — Tampa Bay secondary coach Jimmy Lake tore the patella tendon in his left knee while celebrating an interception during the Buccaneers’ 26-20 win over the New Orleans Saints.

Lake was jumping up and down while congratulating safety Tanard Jackson in the second quarter Sunday when he was injured.

It was one rough game for coaches, with the Saints’ Sean Payton also going down with a major leg injury. Payton broke a bone in his left leg and tore a ligament in his knee when he got caught up in a tackle on the sideline during the first quarter. He had surgery in New Orleans on Monday.

Lake plans to have surgery on his knee once the team returns from this week’s trip to London to play the Chicago Bears.
