SEAL BEACH, Calif. (AP) — A woman wounded in last week’s shooting rampage at a Seal Beach, Calif., hair salon has been released from the hospital.

Long Beach Memorial spokeswoman Richele Craveiro Steele says Harriet Stretz was released on Monday.

Authorities say the 73-year-old from Los Alamitos had gone to the salon to have her hair cut by her daughter, who was killed in the shooting.

Authorities say eight people were killed and one injured after a gunman entered Salon Meritage on Oct. 12 wearing a bulletproof vest and started shooting stylists and customers in the head and chest.

Police arrested Scott Dekraai, the ex-husband of one of the stylists. Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty.
