Letter: Verses twisted to condemn others

Alta Lunsford’s Oct. 11 letter, “Biblical verses show the way,” is nothing more than sugar-coated hate. It disturbs me when people use the Bible for their closeted bigotry. Why should anyone care if a gay or lesbian couple get married and raise children? It is really none of our business.
In my own opinion, the Bible is not the word of God; it is the word of God interpreted by man. Can we at least remember Christ’s message of love your fellow man?
