ALLEN PARK, Mich. (AP) — Detroit’s Jim Schwartz says he’s spoken with the league about his postgame altercation with San Francisco’s Jim Harbaugh, and that it’s “unfortunate” the dustup between the two coaches overshadowed an exciting game Sunday between the Lions and 49ers.

Harbaugh gave Schwartz an exuberant handshake and firm slap on the back following San Francisco’s 25-19 win, and Schwartz took exception, chasing him all the way to the tunnel, although the two were kept separated.

Schwartz says he had a chance to speak with Harbaugh after the game when “everything had died down a little bit” and he expects the two will talk again at some point.
