Suspected burglar killed near Moses Lake

MOSES LAKE (AP) -- The Grant County sheriff's office says the occupant of a home shot and fatally wounded a suspected burglar near Moses Lake.
Police and deputies responded to a 911 call about 9 p.m. Sunday and found the wounded man. He was taken to a hospital in Spokane where he died.
The occupant is cooperating with investigators. The sheriff's office says it appears to be an attempted burglary.
