Car rear-ends motorcycle north of Hoquiam

HOQUIAM, Wash. (AP) — A motorcycle and car landed on top of the motorcycle rider after a collision on Highway 101 about 30 miles north of Hoquiam.

The Washington State Patrol reports the motorcycle had slowed for a turn Monday when it was rear-ended by the car, throwing the rider to the pavement into the path of both vehicles

KBKW reports the 39-year-old motorcycle rider from Ocean Shores was taken to Community Hospital in Aberdeen.

The 17-year-old Humptulips girl driving the car was cited for following too close.
