Vandals with spray paint caused damage in the Ellsworth Springs neighborhood Friday, one resident said.

A series of tags popped up on Southeast 14th and 15th streets between about 104th Court and 106th Avenue sometime before midnight, resident LaMora Sullivan said.

Someone used white spray paint to write “not cool” on a retaining wall, neighborhood cars were tagged with other words, and one fence had “KKK” painted on it, Sullivan said.

Police stopped by the area Saturday morning to take reports.

Vancouver police spokeswoman Kim Kapp said citizens should remember the three Rs when it comes to graffiti: Report, record and remove. That is, people should tell police, take photos of the tags and then remove them.

People can report graffiti on private property in Vancouver at https://crimereports.clark.wa.gov/ or by phone (360-735-7355 for graffiti west of Andresen Road or 360-487-7500 for graffiti east of Andresen.)

In Clark County you can report graffiti by calling 360-397-6079 or 360-397-6195.
