Credit union event to collect food, gizmos

The Washington Credit Union Foundation is sponsoring a free Credit Union Shred Day on Saturday.

The Clark County Food Bank Coalition will collect food donations for local food banks and Empower Up will be accepting computer and electronic donations.

Acceptable items include computers and parts, routers, car stereos, VHS and DVD players, printers, scanners, Fax machines and stereos.

The event will be 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the JCPenney store at Columbia Tech Center, 19005 S.E. Mill Plain Blvd.
