PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — Portland police arrested a man found with marijuana at the Occupy Portland encampment at Chapmen Park.

Officers first approached the man Tuesday because they thought he was drinking alcohol in the park. They say they found he was concealing several bags of marijuana in a canning jar. The 35-year-old from Tillamook was jailed.

In other developments at the ongoing demonstration, police were notified Tuesday night that a 9-year-old girl was missing. She was found with a woman known as Rainbow and reunited with her mother in Lownsdale Square where they have been staying.

KATU reports that a sex offender registered his address last week as Lownsdale Square. An Occupy Portland organizer, Gina Ronning, says he’s been helping and contributing and his past is “not anything to be panicky about.”
