Letter: Government greed should be concern

I read the Oct. 12 front-page story about an Occupy Vancouver rally. How does that merit front-page coverage? Could it be that they’re against greed and that’s newsworthy enough? As a Tea Partyer, I’m against greed too, yet several days prior the Americans for Prosperity was barely mentioned — a couple of paragraphs announcing the Oct. 4 rally buried deep within the pages of this newspaper.

The greed we should be concerned with is government greed that has direct ramifications for us and indirect ramifications for our children and grandchildren.

The well-being of the Republic demands we cut spending now and move back toward a constitutionally defined government.

As for corporate greed — fire them and take your business elsewhere.
