Camas — Dale Rule, Camas High School football coach, took to the track Oct. 9 for 24 hours to demonstrate the benefits of walking to combat obesity and multiple sclerosis.

During his walk, 159 people joined him at different times throughout the day and night.

“The only time I was by myself was from 1:10 to 2:10 a.m.,” Rule said.

More than $1,000 was raised; $504 for the MS Society and $500 for Camas athletics.

Rule began walking a year and a half ago when he weighed 335 pounds. Since then he has lost 117 pounds. For more of his story visit http://www.everyonewalk.com.
