Camas High football coach walks to beat obesity

Camas β€” Dale Rule, Camas High School football coach, took to the track Oct. 9 for 24 hours to demonstrate the benefits of walking to combat obesity and multiple sclerosis.

During his walk, 159 people joined him at different times throughout the day and night.

β€œThe only time I was by myself was from 1:10 to 2:10 a.m.,” Rule said.

More than $1,000 was raised; $504 for the MS Society and $500 for Camas athletics.

Rule began walking a year and a half ago when he weighed 335 pounds. Since then he has lost 117 pounds. For more of his story visit http://www.everyonewalk.com.
