MILWAUKEE (AP) — Buzz Williams is back for his fourth season after leading Marquette to its deepest NCAA tournament run since the school reached the Final Four in 2003.

The fiery Texan says he would have never left Marquette for another program after rumors swirled that he was about to leave as Marquette reached the round of 16.

Gone from his squad is first-round draft pick Jimmy Butler, Dwight Buycks (bikes) and three other role players. But he still has Jae Crowder and dynamic scorer Darius Johnson-Odom.

Marquette also has a tough preseason slate with a trip to the U.S. Virgin Islands, the annual road game against Wisconsin and a home tilt with Vanderbilt before starting Big East play. The regular season begins at home Nov. 11 against Mount St. Mary’s.
