NEW YORK (AP) — Clement Rock held off Dynafortwo by a nose on Friday in the $60,000 Shady Character Stakes for 3-year-olds on the soft turf at Belmont Park.
Javier Castellano was aboard for trainer Todd Pletcher as Clement Rock won for the fourth time in six races, covering the mile in 1:39.62.
Clement Rock paid $7.40, $3.80 and $2.80. Dynafortwo returned $3.90 and $2.80 while Top Surprize paid $3.10 for third place.
