Letter: Follow the money
Friday, October 28, 2011
Edward Parke’s Oct. 19 letter, “Expecting entitlements drains nation,” misses the point. We were a can-do nation. Currently it appears we are transforming into a cannot-do nation, governed by debaters rather than doers. If the debater sells his vote to the wealthy, he is also guilty of buying votes from the cannot-ers. The cannot-ers need the entitlements to survive and vote.
