EASTON, Pa. (AP) — Tyler Smith and Brandon Wesley led Bucknell to 26 second-half points en route to a 39-13 come-from-behind victory against Lafayette on Saturday night.

After Wesley connected with Josh Eden on a 5-yard touchdown pass, Sean Rafferty returned an interception 12 yards for a touchdown to give Bucknell (5-4, 2-2 Patriot League) a 19-6 third quarter lead.

Smith then scored from 2 yards out on the second play of the fourth quarter and again from 33 yards out to complete the scoring burst. Smith carried Bucknell all game, racking up 212 yards on 42 carries and adding two touchdowns. Smith is the first Bucknell runner to rush for more than 200 yards in a game since 2006.

Wesley scored from 2 yards late in the fourth quarter for the final margin.

The win snaps a three-game Bucknell losing streak and marks the first Bison win over Lafayette (3-5, 0-2) since 2001.
