SELAH, Wash. (AP) — A 51-year-old ninth-grade teacher in Selah has resigned after a hidden camera was found underneath a student’s desk.

The Yakima Herald-Republic reports that (http://bit.ly/sro2sF ) Dave McMillen’s resignation is part of a settlement he reached with the Selah school board.

McMillen was put on administrative leave from his job at Selah Junior High School after students complained to their principal on Oct. 13.

Selah police Chief Stacy Dwarshuis says it’s not a crime for a person to own a camera, but that authorities are waiting to see the contents of it.
