Letter: Too much information without facts

By Mary Ann Albright

Does anyone have the real story on how Initiative 1183 would affect the number of retail outlets it would establish? I don’t think so from what I’ve heard.

The vote “yes” people say emphatically that it will not allow sales from gas stations and mini-marts but there are loopholes for alternative smaller sellers in those areas where no larger qualifying stores exist.

On the other hand, the vote “no” people say there will be over 1,000 of these alternative sellers. How do they know? Have any of these potential sellers applied for a permit yet?

Again, statements that cannot possibly be substantiated by fact. If anyone has the true unbiased facts would you please speak up before it’s too late?
