NORTON, Mass. (AP) — The PGA Tour has agreed on a deal with NBC Sports and CBS Sports that secures television rights for the next 10 years.

PGA Tour commissioner Tim Finchem did not disclose financial terms of the nine-year deal, which will start in 2013. But he said the rights fee will allow prize money to steadily increase over the length of the new contract.

This is the longest TV contract with networks in PGA Tour history. It runs through 2021. That’s also when the tour’s 15-year deal with The Golf Channel expires.

CBS will continue to have about 20 tournaments, with NBC getting 10 events and the Golf Channel broadcasting the others.
