Letter: Middle class surrenders

The Columbian

I have seen the question asked many times, “Why do the Republicans hate the USA?” This is a total misunderstanding of the Republican Party. They do not hate the USA, they hate the form of government that the Founding Fathers set up. This form of government is called a democracy, and that is where the difference between Republicans and Democrats lie.

The Republicans dream of a USA transformed into a corporate-run machine. They want no middle class, but all working numerous hours from childhood to death for their corporate masters.

Thus, they love America, they just want it to be a corporate society, in which we the people with less than minimum wage, no medical coverage, no weekends off, work until you drop, will swear allegiance to our corporate masters without regulation and give all, including the very last drop of our blood.
