A 2-year-old boy was rushed to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center after he fell from a second-floor window of a mall-area hotel Friday night.

At 7:12 p.m., firefighters, police and AMR Northwest ambulance paramedics rushed to the Rodeway Vancouver Inn, 9201 N.E. Vancouver Mall Drive, said Capt. Kevin Murray with the Vancouver Fire Department.

Murray said he was told the boy landed on landscaping.

Sergeant Kevin Hatley with the Vancouver Police Department said the fall is believed to have been accidental. He said police don’t know whether the window was open before the child approached it.

Hatley said the boy’s injuries were believed signifcant, but it did not appear they were life-threatening.
