3-acre fire burns in Olympic National Forest

SEATTLE (AP) — A U.S. Forest Service spokeswoman says a 3-acre fire is burning brush in the Olympic Peninsula’s national forest.

Spokeswoman Donna Nemeth says officials are closing the Duckabush hiking trial because of the fire, which is expected to grow.

Nemeth adds that the fire was reported on Thursday and is burning dead brush. Three crews are responding to the blaze.
