OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) — Outfielder Casper Wells has left the Seattle Mariners’ game against the Oakland Athletics after getting hit by a pitch on his left wrist during the second inning.

Wells was plunked by Trevor Cahill on Sunday and immediately fell to the ground as the ball dribbled away.

After being examined by team doctors, Wells remained in the game to run but was replaced in the field by Rayvon Robinson the next inning.

Wells snapped an 0-for-28 streak with a single against the A’s on Friday night.
