KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — The Kansas City Chiefs have picked up offensive tackle Steve Maneri off waivers from the New England Patriots and released veteran tight end Anthony Becht.

The Chiefs announced the moves Monday.

Maneri spent 13 games on the Patriots’ practice squad last season and was inactive for the other three games. He went to training camp with New England this season.

The Chiefs are thin along the offensive line. They had only seven on their 53-man roster and three others on their practice squad.

Becht has played 158 games in the NFL with the Jets, Buccaneers, Rams and Cardinals. He was out of football last season before the Chiefs signed him in August.
