Fire threatens homes near Port Townsend

PORT TOWNSEND, Wash. (AP) -- Several homes near Port Townsend have been evacuated after a 15-acre wildfire burned close to them.
The fire is southwest of the downtown area and in a heavily wooded area with about 50 waterfront homes. No injuries have been reported.
KING-TV (thttp://bit.ly/nNRuUz ) quotes Jefferson County Sheriff Tony Hernandez as saying the number of evacuations could increase.
