Letter: Questions for Perry

The Columbian

With Rick Perry’s sudden rise in the GOP field of candidates for president in 2012, some serious questions need to be asked about the governor of Texas. Three that come to mind:

  1. Were all the jobs that he claims to have created in Texas ones that could support a family, aka living-wage jobs?

  2. Why, as governor, did he execute more people in 10 years than Oklahoma and Virginia did in 35 years?

  3. Haven’t we as Americans seen what a boot-wearin’ swaggerin’ huckleberry from Texas does when put into power?

This economy is in need of serious help. That is a given. If Republicans are put back in charge, we will all be bowing to our new overlords — aka the top 1 percent.

These are just three questions — I think there are millions more.
