SNOHOMISH, Wash. (AP) — The source of a recent stench in Snohomish was likely chicken manure.
The Puget Sound Clean Air Agency said Wednesday that farmers near where the stench was reported acknowledged that some of their peers had been spreading the pungent manure, though no one actually owned up to it.
The agency says agricultural practices are exempt from odor regulations.
