Drivers on state Highway 142 can expect three weeks of 20-minute delays and local detours starting Monday while crews pave the highway through Goldendale, officials say.
The Washington State Department of Transportation warns motorists to expect one lane of SR-142 to be closed from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays and 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekends. Crews will pave through 11 intersections between South Washington Street and US 97.
Residents and businesses in the area will experience short-term parking and driveway limitations, a WSDOT release said.
The $1.2 million preservation project is scheduled for completion in the fall.
