SOUTH BEND, Ind. (AP) — Michael Floyd says he’s not counting. Notre Dame’s top receiver set another school career record in last week’s loss to South Florida.

More are within his grasp as the Irish go to Michigan for a game Saturday night.

Floyd had 12 catches last week in the 23-20 loss, giving him 183 for his career and allowing him to pass Jeff Samardzija (179), now a relief pitcher for the Chicago Cubs. Floyd also caught a pair of TD passes, giving him 30 for his career and padding the school record he already owned.

He’ll need just 15 yards at Michigan Stadium to pass former teammate Golden Tate for the most receiving yards in school history. Floyd also needs one more 100-yard receiving game to tie Tate, who had 15 of them during his stay with the Irish.

Floyd returned to the team last month following his suspension for a drunken driving arrest in March.
