Yakima prosecutors drop charge in fetus death

YAKIMA, Wash. (AP) -- Yakima County prosecutors have dropped a manslaughter charge against a Buena woman who had been accused of kicking her pregnant daughter and killing the fetus.
The Yakima Herald-Republic reports (http://bit.ly/pBkFeL ) an autopsy showed the fetus died of a twisted umbilical cord, and not trauma from the blow.
The 49-year-old woman was jailed after the Aug. 24 fight with her 22-year-old daughter.
