NFL commish in Green Bay for season kickoff

GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -- NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell is in Green Bay ahead of Thursday night's season opener between the Packers and the New Orleans Saints.
Goodell helped dozens of volunteers build a playground and greenhouse at a Green Bay elementary school. He also sent a note to fans and thanked them for their patience during the lockout.
Goodell called it an "unusual and challenging offseason." He says he is looking forward to the season.
