SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Shaun White may have experienced a mid-life crisis of sorts when he turned 25 yet the Olympic gold medalist and reigning X Games champ still dreams big.

He promises a few special skateboard tricks at the Dew Tour’s Salt Lake City stop this week.

White is every bit as youthful with his signature red hair bursting out of a black fedora. Though he’s been competing internationally now for more than a dozen years, he says a variety of projects keep life refreshing.

He has his own clothing line, a new deal with Vail Resorts and is designing a 22-foot halfpipe at Lake Tahoe. He also is set to compete in both halfpipe and slopestyle at the Sochi Games, and dreams of going for gold if skateboarding becomes an Olympic sport.
