NEW YORK (AP) — The U.S. Open has changed its schedule, meaning the tournament will end on a Monday for the fourth consecutive year.

The new schedule calls for the men’s final to be played at 4 p.m. EDT on Monday, instead of its original Sunday slot. And the women’s final will be Sunday at 4 p.m., instead of Saturday night.

The U.S. Tennis Association announced the schedule changes Thursday afternoon, after rain completely washed out play Tuesday, and limited the action to about 15 minutes Wednesday.

The men’s quarterfinals of Rafael Nadal vs. Andy Roddick, and Andy Murray vs. John Isner will be on Friday. Both men’s semifinals will be Saturday. But the men were given the day off Sunday.
