CHICAGO (AP) — Chicago Bears linebacker Lance Briggs says he expects to be fined for violating the NFL’s uniform policy on Sunday.

Briggs says he plans to wear cleats and gloves designed to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks. The red, white and blue gloves and shoes, designed by Reebok, are not approved for use as part of the Bears’ uniform.

Briggs tweeted Thursday that it “looks like I’m getting fined this week. Lol!” And he said it will be “by far the best fine I will ever have to pay.”

Chicago opens the season against Atlanta.
