OPEN HOUSE MINISTRIES will have a free community block party and barbecue from 4 to 7 p.m. at 900 W. 12th St. The family shelter is partnering with the Rotary Club of Greater Clark County and other organizations to raise awareness of homelessness. The Neverclaim band will play from 5 to 6 p.m., followed by Beat Frequency from 6 to 7 p.m. Open House Ministries is a 107-bed, privately funded, faith-based shelter for homeless families in the community. WOMEN’S CONNECTION, meets at 6:45 p.m. Sept. 16 and 9:45 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Sept. 17 at Liberty Bible Church of the Nazarene, 12401 N.E.
