Drake beats Grand View in overtime, 28-21

DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) -- Michael Piatkowski threw three touchdown passes, one with 8 seconds left in regulation and another in overtime, as Drake rallied to beat Grand View 28-21 Saturday night.

Grand View, an NAIA school, built a 21-14 lead when Greg Charles threw his third touchdown pass to Darin Davis, a 23-yarder early in the fourth quarter. But Drake tied it with 8 seconds left when Piatkowski found Nathan Paddock for a 10-yard score and Billy Janssen kicked the extra point.

Drake (1-1) got the ball first in the extra period and Piatkowski hooked up with Drew Blackmon on the Bulldogs' third play for an 11-yard touchdown. On Grand View's possession, Travis Merritt forced a fumble by the Vikings' Colt Matthews and Brandon Coleman recovered to end the game.

Piatkowski was 25 of 40 for 333 yards and an interception.
