Golden Mystery wins Monmouth Park feature

OCEANPORT, N.J. (AP) — Golden Mystery beat D’cats Meow by three lengths Saturday to win the $60,000 Mongo Queen Stakes at Monmouth Park.

Ridden by Angel Serpa and trained by Juan Carlos Guerrero, the 5-year-old mare ran the six furlongs over a fast track in 1:09 and paid $13.20, $5 and $4. It was the sixth win in 24 career starts for Golden Mystery, who now has earned $217,773.

D’cats Meow returned $3.40 and $3. Winning Image was another 234 lengths back in third and paid $5.60.
