LEXINGTON, Va. (AP) — William & Mary held Virginia Military Institute to 155 total yards and stuffed the Keydets 24-7 on Saturday.

The Tribe defense intercepted Eric Kordenbrock twice and Miguel Marshall had a career-high 10 tackles in the win.

The running back tandem of Kevin McBride and Jonathan Grimes pounded the VMI defense, helping the William & Mary offense keep possession for 32 minutes.

McBride, who finished with 79 yards on 12 carries, scored from 5 yards out and Grimes added another touchdown from 3 yards to put the Tribe (1-1) ahead 21-0 at the end of the first half.

After a Drake Kuhn punt forced the Keydets to start at their own 9-yard-line, Marcus Hyde intercepted a Kordenbrock pass to seal the win.

VMI quarterback Adam Morgan, who replaced Kordenbrock in the fourth, led the Keydets (0-2) to their only touchdown with an 11-yard pass to Trent White.
