KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — First-round draft pick Jonathan Baldwin is among the inactive players for the Kansas City Chiefs’ season opener against the Buffalo Bills.

Baldwin missed almost all of training camp after hurting his right thumb during a locker room altercation with running back Thomas Jones. It’s unknown when he will be able to play.

Quarterback Ricky Stanzi, the Chiefs’ fifth-round draft pick, is also inactive Sunday. That leaves Tyler Palko to back up Matt Cassel, who is playing with banged-up ribs.

Wide receiver Marcus Easley is inactive for the Bills after coming down with an illness Friday. That leaves Roscoe Parrish and David Nelson to back up Steve Johnson and Donald Jones.

Buffalo nose tackle Torell Troup is out with a lower back injury.
