Bicyclist struck, killed by car on Highway 112

PORT ANGELES, Wash. (AP) -- A 65-year-old female bicyclist was struck by a car on Highway 112 near Port Angeles and died from her injuries.
The Peninsula Daily News reports (http://bit.ly/nuNRVw) that the bicyclist was struck from behind by a car being driven by a 65-year-old woman.
State Patrol spokeswoman Jennifer Stepp says the collision is under investigation, though drugs or alcohol were not suspected. She says the bicyclist was wearing a helmet and a neon-yellow safety jacket.
