Former FIFA VP calls Sepp Blatter a 'little brat'

SEOUL, South Korea (AP) -- A former FIFA vice president has called FIFA President Sepp Blatter a "little brat" who dictatorially rules soccer's governing body.

Chung Mong-joon had been regarded as a leading candidate to succeed Blatter before being defeated in an election for the FIFA vice presidency early this year. He made the criticism in a memoir published in South Korea last week.

Chung accused Blatter of trying to usurp the authority of FIFA's executive committee by creating an anti-corruption panel. Chung is a senior South Korean lawmaker and is eying a run in the country's presidential elections next year.

FIFA said Monday it would not comment on Chung's memoir.
