KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — Michael Cuddyer and Jason Kubel have returned to the Minnesota Twins’ lineup and Justin Morneau has gone back to Minneapolis.

Cuddyer had missed the previous five games with a sore left wrist and Kubel had not started since Friday because of a foot injury. They were in the starting lineup Tuesday night at Kansas City.

Morneau returned home for family matters. The 2006 American League MVP has not played since Aug. 28 because of a mild concussion-like symptoms.

Morneau has been limited to 69 games, missing two months with a strained left wrist and neck surgery to remove a herniated disc fragment.

Left-hander Francisco Liriano, who went on the disabled list Aug. 26 with a left shoulder strain, is scheduled to throw a bullpen session Wednesday.
