LOS ANGELES (AP) — Los Angeles Dodgers owner Frank McCourt will continue to pay $225,000 per month to his ex-wife Jamie McCourt in their divorce battle that has dealt with ownership of the team.

Attorneys for the former couple hammered out a deal Wednesday that calls for McCourt to pay temporary spousal support over the next couple of months. He was paying an additional $412,159 a month for the mortgages of six homes and a condominium. However, that money will now come from a $1.1 million escrow account created after the sale of one of the homes.

McCourt had sought a reduction in spousal support, while Jamie McCourt said her former husband had plenty of cash in his bank account to cover her legal fees.

The Dodgers recently filed for bankruptcy protection in Delaware.
